Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment Phase: Review the current VMware Horizon Infrastructure, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server. Identify components that require upgrades to support the latest version.
- Planning Phase: Develop a comprehensive upgrade plan, including timelines and rollback procedures, ensuring all necessary resources and approvals are in place.
- Testing Phase: Conduct full upgrade testing in various Reference Test Environments, capturing and resolving any issues before the production rollout.
- Upgrade Phase: Plan and execute the upgrade of VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter Server as needed. Support the installation and configuration of the latest version, ensuring thorough system and application testing.
- VDI Client Update Phase: Upgrade all VDI clients to Windows 11 and install the latest Microsoft Office suite. Verify application and system functionality post-upgrade.
- Security Hardening Phase: Implement CIS Level 2 hardening for VMware Horizon components, Windows 11 VDIs, and Microsoft Office.
