Position Summary: The Global Commercial Director partners with the Global Commercial CAR T Lead in ensuring successful strategy pull through and operational execution to drive performance throughout Breyanzi’s lifecycle. This role will be a critical interface and point of contact for cross-functional teams and local market teams to develop recommendations and drive decisions on asset strategy and life cycle management, accelerating global performance and partnering with markets to drive execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for hitting ambitious revenue and patient targets for Breyanzi globally (ex US).
  • Work with the Global Executive Director across all responsibilities to shape recommendations for major decisions on Breyanzi global brand strategy and at governance forums across highly visible cross-functional topics (e.g., go/no go decisions for indication/earlier line expansion, market & site activation and delays, slot allocation, etc.).
  • Lead commercial opportunity assessment for potential footprint expansion or LCM expansion based on market insights, competitive landscape and evolution, pricing etc. and formulate strategic options and recommendation on launch indication and go-to-market scope.
  • Collaborate with global and local market colleagues to accelerate class and brand share performance, including established Breyanzi markets and recent launch markets.
  • Partner with BI&T to determine one source of truth for performance tracking.
  • Design and implement methodology and cadence for meeting and supporting market performance.
  • Support Global Executive Director to develop brand strategy including market shaping, positioning, messaging and competitive strategy; ensure market insights are continuously integrated into revised brand strategy and forecasting.
  • Provide input and support to the Global Executive Director on brand strategy development, forecasting ownership and long-term financial planning.
  • Develop and own mechanism to promote sharing of insights between markets and instill a mindset of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Partner with cross-functional colleagues (medical, market access etc.) in strategy and execution of congress strategy, KOL engagement and advisory boards.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in biopharma.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; life-sciences-related discipline (or other scientific education) preferred.
  • Advanced degree strongly preferred, including business and scientific (MBA, MD/PhD/PharmD).
  • Relevant experience in Hematology / Cell Therapy / Lymphoma is preferable.
  • Launch experience and/or experience of managing brand lifecycle with proven track record of driving performance and executional excellence.
  • Delivering clarity of strategic direction and demonstrated ability to translate insights into effective strategy; experience in developing strategic brand plans preferred. Global experience a plus.
  • Ability to operate and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
  • Experience working with customers and translating customer needs to the cross-functional development team is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical industry; possesses a global understanding of end-to-end drug development and commercialization processes.
  • Abreast of scientific issues and market trends as they impact business development and strategic planning.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional, matrixed teams, maintaining strong relationships and influencing outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, gain alignment and drive decision making.
  • Ability to conduct thorough analyses to support key asset cross-functional decisions.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results driven, with excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Effectively utilizes information technology systems and program management tools including systems (e.g., MS project, Excel).

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $182,000 - $228,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
