As an Employment Advisor, you will make a difference every day by supporting people who need extra help to find work. It's incredibly rewarding. You will regularly meet with your caseload of clients to check their progress and support them every step of the way.

On a Typical Day, You Might Be:

  • Helping someone with their CV
  • Coordinating vacancies with local employers who need help, ensuring your participants are a perfect fit
  • Referring clients for additional support, such as self-employment advice or confidence building
  • Discussing career aspirations and local opportunities with clients
  • Solving practical job-related issues, such as arranging transportation to interviews or sourcing funded bicycles and work attire

The project is based in Luton, and you will be part of a team of nine. The people you support are referred via the job centre, and at any one time, you will typically work with around 70 participants. This social enterprise seeks individuals who can make a real difference with purpose. Therefore, being able to work to targets is crucial, as well as being highly organized. You will enjoy working here, as no day is the same; there are always different challenges to solve. You get to work with a diverse array of people, and there's a real buzz about the office.
