Reporting to an Associate Director of Care, the Personal Support Worker plays a vital role within our communities, impacting residents’ lives.

What You’ll Be Doing:
You will be a valued member of the Long Term Care team at Glen Rouge Community, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference. You will develop a deep understanding of your residents and their experiences, building relationships with them and their families. Your support will enrich their daily health and well-being, contributing to a culture focused on helping residents live fully every day.
How You’ll Succeed:
- Provide Resident Supervision and Assistance: Support residents with activities of daily living such as eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, following individual care plans.
- Provide Resident Care and Services: Encourage use of sensory aids, administer medications under supervision, ensure access to mobility devices, provide cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support, and promote participation in programs.
Who You Are:
- You are compassionate and dedicated to supporting seniors in living full lives.
- You have completed a Personal Support Worker program or are an Internationally Educated Nurse with a nursing degree.
- You are detail-oriented and proficient in providing bedside care and simple treatments.
- You exercise tact and diplomacy when working with seniors, families, and visitors.
