RMT is expanding our Corporate Recovery & Insolvency team with the appointment of a licensed Insolvency Practitioner to lead our presence in London. This is a senior role for someone looking to take ownership of a portfolio, grow the firm’s reputation in the capital, and build strong networks with professional referrers.
Key Responsibilities- Take formal appointments across a range of insolvency cases, including CVAs, CVLs, MVLs, and Administrations.
- Oversee all stages of case progression, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Liaise directly with directors, creditors, solicitors, agents, and other stakeholders.
- Identify risks and opportunities on each case and work with internal teams (tax, corporate finance, etc.) to deliver commercially sound outcomes.
- Actively develop relationships with London-based referrers including accountants, solicitors, and lenders.
- Represent RMT at relevant industry events, networking forums, and meetings to raise the firm’s profile.
- Support the wider business development strategy and contribute to team growth.
- A licensed Insolvency Practitioner (JIEB qualified).
- Strong technical knowledge and experience managing a broad range of insolvency cases from start to finish.
- Established network within the London market (or willingness to build one quickly).
- Confident working independently while maintaining close links with the wider team.
- Good understanding of insolvency software (IPS or equivalent).
- Commercial approach, with the ability to assess situations pragmatically and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
