Work Schedule: 3:00PM to 12:00AM, Monday to Friday
Our priority is to hire apprentice heavy-duty mechanics who care about safety and quality service. As a 310T apprentice mechanic, your minimum responsibilities include:
- Perform repairs, inspections, safety checks, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel vehicles.
- Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and adjust Engine and Vehicle Control modules.
- Respond to road calls for emergency repairs.
- Review and complete repairs based on driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Complete paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
- Test drive trucks after repairs.
- Assist team members with repairs as needed.
- Interact professionally and courteously with drivers.
- Adhere to all safety standards set by regulatory authorities and Waste Connections of Canada.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Registered 310T Mechanic Apprentice (Level 2 minimum)
- Proficiency with diesel diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
- Basic tool set.
- Valid Class DZ or AZ license is an asset.
- Ability to pass all pre-employment verifications.
