We are seeking Band 5 Operating Department / Theatre Practitioners to join NHS Lothian & Borders Staff Bank. Theatres can be an intense fast-paced environment of days, nights, and weekend shifts, with a team working ethos being at the heart of the services we provide. If you are a Band 5 Registered Operating Department Practitioner and would like to join NHS Lothian Staff Bank, this might be the post for you.
All Staff Bank roles are to cover temporary shortages across NHS Lothian & Borders. Work is offered on an "as and when required" basis with different shift patterns available to suit flexible working. There are no guarantees of a fixed number of hours each week as this is a demand-led service.
The Staff Bank centrally co-ordinates bank shifts for all nursing and midwifery services across NHS Lothian & Borders through an electronic online booking system allowing bank workers to view and book their shifts through a computer or mobile device.
Interested candidates are required to evidence on application their individual commitment to being part of our supplementary workforce. Applicants are required to evidence current HCPC Registration in the application form and at the point of interview.
