As a Risk Graduate you will learn to forecast and evaluate financial risks and identify opportunities to avoid and minimise their impact. Working in Risk you will gain knowledge and experience of Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Risk and Product Control. You’ll gain experience using advanced technology and data analysis to monitor trends, flows and prices. Your role is to keep the company safe and operating within its risk parameters to ensure that we can provide energy for Europe.
As a Risk Graduate you will look to understand the fine details and how they impact the bigger picture. You will understand the deal lifecycle, identify what could happen, how likely it is to happen and provide ideas to minimise the risks so far as it is reasonable practical ensuring that there is resources and capacity to respond to changing conditions.
The kind of person we’re looking for… To manage risk you need to be able to understand the bigger picture as well as the finer details. You need to be able to influence people using data and regulations to anticipate decisions and keep the business safe. You will also need:
- A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in any subject
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Good problem-solving skills
What we will give you… Our Risk Graduate Scheme is a 2-year rotational programme. This will give you have a chance to experience new areas of business analysis every 6 months. Through such a broad approach, you can identify your strengths, so you know which areas you would like to pursue upon completion of the programme. These teams are responsible for keeping the business safe and secure. You will be able to understand the entire energy deal lifecycle as well as working with commercial stakeholders across the business.
