We are looking for a user experience researcher who is passionate about applying their research skills to shape user experiences across scholarly publishing. Working alongside researchers, strategists, designers, product and technology teams, you will combine a rigorous understanding of research methods with a collaborative approach to ensure that product strategy and design are based on a solid foundation of research.

How you will make an impact:

  • Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, analytics, and unmoderated studies to gather findings and insights.
  • Partner with strategists, designers, product and engineering teams to understand business goals and user needs.
  • Work closely with these cross-functional teams to formulate research plans and translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Synthesize research findings, insights, and recommendations that will guide product and design decisions.
  • Share research reports and presentations with stakeholders and the wider organization.
  • Contribute to the direction of strategic initiatives based on insights learned from research.
  • Continuously monitor user feedback and update appropriate artifacts (e.g., journey maps, personas).
  • Champion the voice of the user throughout the company through cross-functional team collaboration, shared learning, and presentations.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience with scholarly research or in the publishing industry.
