Operational Resilience Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Specialist who is organized and operationally minded to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of resilience and continuity strategies across the organization. The role involves working collaboratively with both IT and Business functions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of operational needs and recovery objectives.
The successful candidate will assist the Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Manager in delivering the Business Continuity Management framework for all Ageas UK locations and in administering business continuity processes and best practices.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update BC/Resilience policies, plans, and documentation.
- Ensure recovery objectives and impact tolerances are met.
- Collaborate with IT on continuity testing and disaster recovery planning.
- Support crisis response, recovery site operations, and return-to-normal activities.
- Report on test outcomes and continuity issues.
- Promote Operational Resilience and Business Continuity awareness, training, and communications across Ageas.
- Ensure compliance with Group policy and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct business impact analyses and risk assessments.
- Design and implement effective continuity mechanisms and procedures.
- Oversee the effective execution of Disaster Recovery testing, ensuring plans support recovery point and time objectives, and update plans based on testing outcomes.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Business Continuity Management, planning, and testing within the financial sector is essential.
- Experience in Operational Resilience & Business Continuity aligned with regulatory guidelines/principles.
- CBCI qualification or equivalent is desirable.
- Understanding of the BCM Lifecycle.
- Experience with controls related to business process, governance, risk, and education.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience dealing with external stakeholders.
- Good decision-making, team working, proactive planning, and organizational skills.
