Brand Strategist | 3-5 days per week £48-54k p.a. (open to full time)
The Role:
Often our engagements with brands start with strategy. Either we’re helping build the business OR there are customers, traction and a team, but the positioning isn’t truly distinctive or empowers growth. We work across a broad spectrum of industries from FMCG, to entertainment, pet-care to homecare brands, all of whom are linked by an ambition to be category challengers; so a passion for disruptive brands building is a must.
Whilst the majority of your time will be focused on working on typical brand strategy projects you’ll also be required on occasion to jump in to lead brand management projects (e.g. acting as brand guardian on multi-disciplinary retainers, being the voice of the consumer and driving consistency across the entire customer experience) so being up for trying anything is also essential. Within the Brand Hackers team, you’ll be working across 3 or 4 brands at any one time.
What you'll do...
- Perform desk-based research to analyse industry trends and competitor activities in order to identify strategic opportunities and actionable insights for clients.
- Develop and articulate clear brand positioning and messaging, based on insights and market differentiation.
- Write compelling briefs / propositions for brand development.
- Collaborate with copywriters and designers to develop compelling brand narratives and visual guidelines.
- Ensure all deliverables align with the overall brand strategy and meet the client's objectives.
- Serve as the voice of the consumer by establishing a feedback loop to continuously gather and share insights on customer behaviour, ensuring the brand remains aligned with audience needs and desires.
- Drive consistency in messaging and a brand's look and feel across all touchpoints, delivering cohesive and compelling brand experience that resonates with target audiences.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, growth, and sales, to integrate brand strategies into all aspects of marketing and communication.
- Oversee communication with multiple clients, ensuring clarity on strategic brand deliverables, meeting schedules, discussion topics, and status updates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client teams, handling passionate stakeholders.
- Create and manage critical paths for various projects, ensuring timely delivery of all milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless execution of brand projects.
Who you are...
- Proven experience as a Brand Strategist or similar role, preferably within an agency setting.
- Strong understanding of branding principles, market research methodologies, and competitive analysis.
- You’ll be obsessed with branding books and blogs.
- An exceptional storyteller who can take anyone on the journey.
- Very competent copywriter that might pull in specific support sometimes, but can often nail the delivery alone.
- A talented diplomat and sales person.
- Highly organized with exceptional project management skills.
- Creative in both your output and your approach - comfortable innovating your methods to manage varied budgets, different time-frames.
What we will give in return...
- While this is a remote based role, we require that all of our team are available to be in London at least twice per month for team & client meetings.
- You’ll be managed by a Brand Hacker who will push you to do your best work.
- You’ll have access to a support group of 10+ Brand Hackers.
- You’ll have templates, tools & tonnes of examples of things we’ve done in the past.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Monthly working-from-home allowance to be spent on coffee, co-working or gym membership.
- Our commitment to your development.
- Birthday off.
- Enhanced paternity/maternity leave & pay.
- Unlimited coaching with MoreHappi.
- Full Up World Membership.
