My client, a fast-growing and highly successful forensic accounting firm, is looking for an experienced Tax Investigations Specialist to join their sociable and high-calibre team in Manchester (Leeds also an option). Our client is a premier and large specialist Forensic Accountancy practice in the UK, with a proven track record in delivering high-quality advice in select market areas. They are seeking an experienced Tax Investigations Specialist to bolster their current team and assist them in continuing to deliver their market-leading services. This role involves working closely with the departmental head to grow the department during this phase of expansion.

What you'll do:

  • Assist taxpayers in bringing their tax affairs up to date
  • Work on voluntary disclosure facilities or assist in investigations and compliance enquiries
  • Review disclosure reports prepared by junior team members
  • Manage caseloads as required
  • Collaborate with the departmental head to expand the department

What you bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Tax Investigation
  • Working knowledge of tax legislation related to personal income, self-assessment, Capital Gains Tax, and HMRC penalties
  • Professional qualification or part qualification (AAT/ATT/ACA/ACCA/CTA) or qualified by experience
  • Understanding of key HMRC disclosure options, such as LPC, WDF, and CDF
