We are looking for a Senior Manager, Seller Advocacy who:

What You Will Accomplish

The successful candidate will join the UK B2C team and:

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional internal team on community building and engagement activities across various topics that affect eBay’s customers (both sellers and buyers). Topics include Seller Advocacy, Regulatory matters, and On Purpose initiatives, including Charities and Social Enterprises.
  • Collaborate with the Government Relations team to advocate for our sellers and small businesses in the UK, providing services, opportunities, and lobbying on behalf of the small business community.
  • Partner with the marketing and customer support teams to ensure that seller-facing external communications are clear and relevant.
  • Work with external organisations and influencers to co-create educational content for their customers and/or followers, such as webinars, guides, and social media content.
  • Act as a liaison between the global Regulatory team and the UK Leadership team, ensuring that UK leaders and their teams are kept informed of progress and any actions they need to take.
  • Design and implement plans to help sellers and buyers navigate regulatory matters, including communications, marketing, and processes, balancing the art of minimising disruption and breakage and maximising compliance.
  • Lead the UK activity for On Purpose, including Charities, Social Enterprise Sellers, and partnerships with organisations such as The Entrepreneurial Refugee Network (TERN) and Black Business Show.

What You Will Bring

  • Ability to explain complex issues in straightforward terms.
  • Experience in communicating with owner/managers of SMBs.
  • Ability to manage work in a constantly evolving, multinational, cross-functional business.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and strong Excel skills.
  • Experience in developing relationships with and managing external partners at a senior level.
  • Prior experience in a senior Partnership, Business Development, or Account Management role would be advantageous.
  • Energetic, flexible, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity in a trust-based, human manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
