About the Role:

As an LSA, you will work closely with pupils, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. You'll assist teachers in maintaining a focused and positive learning environment, offering both 1:1 and small group support where needed.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):

  • Assist in the delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
  • Support individual pupils with varying needs, both academically and emotionally.

Job Requirements of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA):

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or a willingness to work towards one).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
  • Recent graduates and those seeking school-based experience before pursuing teacher training are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals.
  • Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
