This position works with senior management to identify and implement opportunities for strategic growth and to evaluate medium to long term investment opportunities for the QSR and Foodservice sectors of EMEA Flavour Solutions Division. Provide influence and leadership towards the achievement of financial objectives and business improvement programs.
- To be involved in and influence all key business decisions affecting the QSR and Foodservice sectors in EMEA, providing financial and business support to commercial directors and their teams.
- To work with commercial teams in customer negotiations. This includes preparing for, and participating in, regular face-to-face meetings with customers.
- To understand the businesses end-to-end, the marketplaces in which they operate and to assist and influence in developing the strategy to take advantage of the opportunities that exist.
- To ensure allocation of McCormick resources to best effect - across commercial and other functions, including R&D and Operations.
- To direct and lead a team of 2 qualified accountants, based in the UK and France.
- To work with Global colleagues on QSR business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Finance or Accounting.
- 8+ years post qualification in FMCG / manufacturing business, preferably in a commercial business partner role.
- Exposure to a multi-site/cultural/product environment is essential as is experience of working in an international business.
- Proven record of contributing to the strategic agenda, leading change, and supporting a business during a dynamic, fast growth phase.
- Contribution to the development of an organisation's growth strategy through effective development of business relationships, and exposure to M&A.
- Used to working in a highly results-oriented and performance-driven environment, with a focus on excellence.
- Capable of managing a multi-cultural team of qualified accountants working locally and remotely.
- Strong technical skills, experience of a best-in-class management information process.
- Demonstrable success in working in a matrix finance function, and building partnerships with other functional areas such as supply chain or operations.
- Demonstrable record of providing value-added analysis to the operational aspects of a business.
- Ability to simplify complex situations and provide clear analysis and recommendations.
- Ability to process complex customer negotiations and requests to best advantage.
- Ability to function in customer face-to-face meetings to protect and enhance McCormick's commercial position.
- Must be capable of influencing others, regardless of position in the company.
