This role is essential to improving the service delivered and financial performance of 2 contracts through the analysis of key metrics and performance measures. To manage multiple teams across contracts to maximise revenue & profits.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take the Lead: Oversee our daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers
- Support day to day operations to meet customer KPIs and service level expectations
- Support site GM & Ops managers with any required tasks and provide cover for them when needed
- Provide European and Worldwide freight forwarding experience/expertise to DSC shipping team and be first contact for any transport tenders to retain business or gain new business.
- SAP / ERP updates and implementation with DHL and across Customer Plants
- To support contract projects in capturing and providing movement and cost saving data
- Increase the profitability of the Site Operations
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Strong background in Freight or Global Forwarding experience - Essential
- Knowledge of volumetric weight calculations for road & air movements
- International Transport / Freight Forwarding Experience
- SAP Experience
- Ability to provide data in clear and concise manner within agreed timescales.
- Management experience - leading a team
- European Transport Operations
- Understanding of UK export market costs.
