Exciting Opportunity: Payroll Service Centre Team Lead.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join our Payroll Service Centre (PSC) team at the Business Services Organisation (BSO)! The PSC delivers essential payroll, pension, and travel services to Health and Social Care (HSC) organisations, making a real difference behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and inspire a talented team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure payroll services are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with all legislative and audit requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on complex payroll queries and terms & conditions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support key initiatives to enhance payroll processes across HSC.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by monitoring and managing team performance.
  • Support staff development through training and mentoring.
  • Represent the PSC at meetings and hearings, sharing your specialised knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer queries and complaints in line with SLAs.
  • Prepare statutory returns and reports.
  • Contribute to staff recruitment and development.
  • Implement audit recommendations and identify service risks.
  • Ensure optimal staffing levels and effective delegation.
