Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist design and manufacturing company to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Mansfield-based facility.
Duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer include:
- Detailed design of new products from the concept stage through to production
- Conceptual design, assembly / sub-assembly and detailed drawings, calculations where necessary, generation of Design File, BOM's.
- Redevelopment of existing products in order to enhance the design, cut costs and consider ease of manufacture
- Appreciation of methods of manufacture
- Appreciation of different material properties and basic engineering processes
- Project management from concept to production.
- Implementation of field trials.
- Testing of prototypes.
- Liaison with customers, engineers and shop floor staff
We are keen to speak with Mechanical Design Engineers with:
- HND (minimum) / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Working experience in Solidworks
- Experience in Technical Authoring and Solidworks Composer
