proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally. Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Event and Conference Technician to join our London team, representing proAV and providing technical onsite support in event spaces, conference rooms, meeting rooms, and via video conferencing software. You will work with various technologies in the audio visual and video conference field, including meeting room setups, events, video conference scheduling, and live streaming services. This position is one of many at proAV, based within our end user's organization that continues to invest in cutting-edge technologies, services, and training. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Event and Conference Technician to join an established operation with scope to improve and expand the service offering. Compensation and benefits will reflect the experience and seniority of the candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate integrated event spaces, including high-profile auditorium presentations and town halls.
  • Proficient in digital and analogue audio, video, and lighting equipment.
  • Support video and audio conferencing setups using platforms like Zoom, Cisco, and Polycom.
  • Manage all aspects of video calls from booking to monitoring and completion, including scheduling and system testing prior to events.
  • Prepare equipment for upcoming events and meetings.
  • Work with the Breakfix team to locate faults and provide hardware solutions, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
  • Perform first and second-line repairs and preventative maintenance, including daily equipment checks.
  • Provide AV support to other business areas, such as setting up PA systems or assisting with presentations.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, and serve as the main client interface when required.
  • Maintain professionalism and approachability, representing the company well.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, working calmly under pressure to resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with senior executives both face-to-face and remotely.
  • Work onsite shifts flexibly, including out-of-hours events.
  • Coordinate with help desk and operations teams for backup support.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Zoom, ticketing systems, and room booking software for administrative tasks.
  • Travel to other sites as needed, including outside London.
  • Support livestreaming operations as required.
  • Proactively train and support end users.
  • Identify faults and provide first-fix resolutions, including equipment loans when appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment for events and meetings as needed.
  • Be fully competent with all installed and portable technologies.
  • Support users at all levels, ensuring high-quality AV presentations and content optimization.
  • Attend important events as required.
  • Work rotational shifts to meet operational needs.
  • Handle email and other administrative communications professionally.
