We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts & Tax Semi Senior to join a top 100 accounting practice based in East London. This is a great opportunity for a practice-experienced candidate looking to further develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be responsible for the preparation of accounts, tax returns, and VAT for a range of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Depending on your experience level, the role can be tailored to include greater autonomy and client responsibility.
Key Responsibilities for Accounts & Tax Semi Senior:
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
- Complete corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
- Prepare and review VAT returns and management accounts.
- Assist with or manage client communications.
- Support with tax planning and advisory work where required.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and HMRC regulations.
- Supervise and review work of junior team members.
- Contribute to improving internal processes and efficiencies.
Key Requirements for the Accounts & Tax Semi Senior:
- 2+ years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Part-qualified or qualified AAT / ACA / ACCA (or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
- Experience with software.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
