We\’re seeking a passionate Health Club Manager to lead our Health Club at Theobald\’s Hotel. In an exciting period of growth and refurbishment, you will be at the heart of developing and expanding the Health Club division, including implementing systems, procedures, and service standards. You should be comfortable setting up operations from scratch and evolving processes as the business grows.

The Health Club Manager will ensure the hotel’s health club provides exceptional customer service, maintains quality standards, and maximizes revenue and guest satisfaction. The Health Club Manager leads the leisure, fitness, and wellness teams, ensuring facilities like the gym, pool, new paddle courts, cryotherapy, vitamin replacement, and wellness treatment rooms are well-maintained and accessible to guests and members.

Main Duties of the Health Club Manager include:

  • Managing all health club operations, classes, PTs, and staffing schedules to ensure guest service levels and facility availability at all times
  • Leading and developing your team, including recruiting instructors, PTs, contractors, and therapists
  • Arranging staff rotas to meet business needs and diary plans
  • Managing budgets and KPIs, including treatment sales, retail growth, and membership add-ons
  • Proactively growing health club membership and income streams
  • Anticipating guest needs and promoting services within the hotel and local community to enhance satisfaction
  • Maximizing sales opportunities to meet or exceed budgeted targets

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years of hospitality and leisure management experience
  • A passion for the fitness and leisure industry, with awareness of current wellness and fitness trends
  • Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or YMCA Gym Instructor; lifeguard, First Aid, Pool Responder, and Pool Plant qualifications are highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
