British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Assistant role in Southampton. The objective of the role is to assist the Credit Manager with the management of BAT Exports external debtor position. This includes all relevant internal Governance and controls related to Credit Management.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in management of External Debt
- Ensure all internal Governance is followed
- Assist with maintaining robust control environment and SoX evidence
- Manual credit checks and decisions
- Support the effective management and reporting of all external debts, including reconciliation of external debtor accounts
- Stakeholder management (internal and external)
What are we looking for?
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in finance-based role advantageous
- Experience in a Global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required:
- Has a confident manner and projects credibility both face to face and over the telephone
- Intermediate Excel / Word skills
- An ability to work effectively with all levels of stakeholders internally and externally
- Ability to simplify complex situations and communicate complex information
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance discipline
