The organisation is a charity which runs an Ofsted Outstanding Independent Specialist College, registered Care Home, a mental health and employment service, an Alternative Provision school in addition to other bespoke services aimed at improving learning outcomes and the lives of supported individuals.

Based within the woodland setting, the successful post holder will be responsible for securing funding from trusts, foundations and other grant makers to support the charity's capital and revenue projects, with a targeted income flow to underpin vital projects and improvements. The person will also conduct all associated internal and external reporting relating to funding in line with budgets and forecasts.

Working closely with the Fundraising Team Leader and other team members, collaboration is an essential personal characteristic. The post requires the establishment of well-researched and sustainable pipelines to support capital and revenue projects, essential for the continued progression and development of services provided for learner development.

Expectations also include the ability to meet achievable income targets through the production and submission of compelling grant applications and funding proposals.

Essential Skills

The successful candidate will be educated to degree/equivalent or have previous experience of working within the fundraising sector at a similar level. With excellent interpersonal, mathematical and English skills it is essential that the post-holder has the ability to produce high quality, concise cases for support and to remain targeted and focused with a clear mission.

The ability to build commercial relationships is a critical part of the role as is the capacity to manage records and workload in a timely and effective manner. Applicants should have the capacity to demonstrate high-performance through previous experience and be confident in delivering presentations to stakeholders.

Due to the nature of the post, a flexible attitude is required from time to time, relative to working hours and charitable events. Working between Monday - Friday / 37.50 hours per week. Options for some Hybrid working on completion of probation. Fantastic working environment with additional benefits.
