Thoughtworks builds technology that matters. As a Regional Chief Architect– Cloud and Partner Ecosystem, you will be a technical leader focused on cloud and partner-aligned solutions within a designated geographic region. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for one or more cloud providers or technology partners, ensuring technical alignment, solution integration, and regional strategy execution. Additionally, you will act as a liaison for a designated service line, driving synergies between partners and Thoughtworks offerings. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership, guiding customers and internal teams through complex cloud & AI transformations. You will play a key role in technical pre-sales, solution design, and advisory services, as well as contribute to solution asset development, accelerators, and technical demos.
As a regional leader, you will also shape and influence go-to-market strategies tailored to regional market dynamics and partner GTM strategies. Additionally, you may have management responsibilities, mentoring and developing solution architects and engineers within your region. Success in this role will be measured by trusted guidance, solution adoption, and revenue impact.
Job responsibilities- Primary Technical Liaison – Serve as the regional technical interface for one or more cloud providers or ecosystem partners.
- Offering Integration – Act as the regional partner liaison for one or more service lines, ensuring alignment between offerings and partner capabilities.
- Technical Solution Leadership – Lead and deliver solution architecture, technical pre-sales, cloud strategy engagements, and proofs of concept/demos.
- Vision & Strategy – Define and execute the technical strategy for cloud and partner solutions across the region.
- Mentorship & Leadership – Guide and mentor Solution Architects and technical teams, fostering talent development within the region.
- Thought Leadership – Develop and contribute to whitepapers, blogs, conference presentations, and regional industry events.
- Accelerators & Solution Development – Lead the creation of reusable architectures, accelerators, and technical demos tailored to regional needs.
- Sales Contribution – Partner with sales teams to influence $5M–$10M in annual revenue through pre-sales, solution design, and advisory services.
- Billable Utilization – Maintain billable utilization with a focus on pre-sales engagements and client advisory, ensuring organizational sustainability.
- Standards & Compliance – Ensure reference architectures, and best practices are followed in strategic partner-aligned projects.
- Deep expertise in one or more cloud/partner architectures: AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and/or NVIDIA.
- Experience designing large-scale distributed systems, with a specialization aligned with one or more of our core offerings: AI-driven UX, Product Innovation, Data Modernization, AI Readiness, Engineering Excellence, Enterprise Platform Modernization, or Digital Application Management & Ops.
- Proficiency in DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, etc.).
- Strong understanding of operations, security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
- Experience with partner-aligned architectures, cloud marketplaces, and third-party solution integration.
- Expertise in AI/ML, data engineering, and analytics-driven solutions.
- Strong API and microservices architecture knowledge.
- Experience implementing multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies.
- Ability to develop proof of concepts and technical demos aligned with regional market needs.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for regional customers.
- Strong communication skills for engaging executive stakeholders, customers, and regional partners.
- Ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives across a region.
- Strong negotiation and influence skills with partners and sales teams.
- Proven experience in technical pre-sales, leading to multiple $1M+ projects per year.
- Ability to cross-sell across multiple offerings, increasing regional revenue impact.
- Strong ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Executive presence with the ability to represent Thoughtworks in regional partner ecosystems and events.
