Thrive is looking for a dynamic Senior Urban Designer to join our ever-expanding team based in London, on a part time basis, preferably working Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has a passion for creating meaningful places and communities.
The role includes:
- Carrying out and overseeing the preparation of masterplans, feasibility studies and layouts, development briefs, design strategies and design codes.
- Working with a wider team, this person will manage delegated projects ensuring adherence to quality standards, timescales and effective client communication.
Key Attributes & Skills Needed:
- Minimum of 5+ years of UK based experience working in an architectural or urban design practice on residential/mixed-use projects
- Good attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture
- Good analytical skills
- Proficient communicator both verbally and written, with experience preparing DAS and Design Code documents
- Good Layout & hand drawing skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Proficient in using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD and/or Sketchup
- Desire to progress and mentor junior members of the team
