Penspen is currently recruiting for a Ltd contract Senior Mechanical Rotating Engineer. This is a high-level position and a minimum of 10 years experience; 8 of them within the field of Mechanical Engineering in major oil and gas projects is essential. Candidates should have a strong background in rotating equipment design.
Requirements:
- Work experience in major accident hazard industries in an oil and gas environment.
- Strong communication skills, and ability to work with diverse teams and cultures.
- Extensive and in-depth knowledge of Mechanical and Rotating Equipment including gas turbines, diesel engines & gas compressors.
- Must have a working knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as ASME and API, such as API-STD-610 and 617.
- Must have experience with creating/modifying PFDs, and P&IDs.
- Experience with troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment, such as air compressors, pumps and Diesel generators.
- Experience in creating schematics and piping diagrams.
- Experience conducting failure analysis and providing recommendations for failed rotating equipment.
- Experience with rotating equipment and piping field Installation, Commissioning and testing.
