Role: Media Workflow and Training Consultant

Contract: Contractor

Location: London (Hybrid)

Hours: 37.5 hours

Position Overview: The Media Workflow and Training Consultant is responsible for working closely with customer’s users to capture user requirements and user stories, liaise across departments to inform solution designs and deployments, and conduct high-quality user training, onboarding and configuration of cloud-based solutions (with a significant focus on Media Asset Management expertise). This role involves analyzing and documenting current ‘as-is’ processes with customers, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance media asset handling and optimal business benefits from cloud-based working. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless integrations, workflow automation, and adherence to business requirements – working closely with the Programs (professional services) team and Customer Success team to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, the position requires strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical challenges, create process documentation, and provide user training (including professionally finished training materials) to ensure system adoption and efficiency. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and people-person, capable of working directly with customer stakeholders at different seniority levels and across departments at major global enterprise accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capturing workflow requirements from users, superusers, and key stakeholders to optimize the rollout of Cloud Native Media Services, with integrated MAM.
  • Designing and configuring media workflows and complex MAM setups (Iconik).
  • General understanding of public cloud (AWS, IBM etc), S3 storage tiering, and working in collaboration with our cloud engineering team across large-scale global data migration projects.
  • Forward looking and testing new product integrations and new AI services in collaboration with the Software Engineering and Partnerships team.
  • Advising, training, and documenting workflows for end users ready for the launch of the MAM system.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, progress reports, and risk assessments.
  • Building excellent relationship management with key clients and internal and external teams, including senior-level personnel.
  • Ability to work within Scrum, Kanban, and other Lean frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Expert in Media Asset Management (MAM) systems and familiarity with hands-on configurations of MAM platforms (notably including Iconik).
  • Knowledge of content workflows, transcoding, post-production, and video distribution.
  • General understanding of cloud, API integration and AWS storage tiers.
  • Understanding of MAM systems with integrated custom transcoding pipelines.
  • Metadata schema planning, creation, import/export/mapping.
  • Use of third-party AI modules with MAM systems for auto-tagging / auto-indexing of video content at scale.
  • Data Migration experience into cloud platforms such as AWS or IBM Cloud.
  • Strong process analysis and high-quality documentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for certain customer engagement.

Management Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead analysis and configuration on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Understanding of methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Communication & Leadership:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and a self-starter – capable of working independently.
