Primary purpose of the position:

The Ball Corporation Future Leaders Trainee Programme is a stepping-stone for people with management potential to become the leaders of the future in an ambitious international company. We aim to develop Future Leaders, top diverse talent to support the growth needs of the business. The program offers access to accelerate development on the job and through other channels during an 18-month program which will include assignments across a wide range of manufacturing departments and divisions including: Production, Technical /Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Human Resources, Continuous Improvement (CI/Lean), Finance, Customer Fulfilment, Sustainability.

Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Learning on the job with experts, developing technical and soft skills and receiving coaching from your Mentors & Project Co-ordinators, and other senior staff mentors.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Fulfilling all requirements and meeting goals set out at the start of the programme.
  • Completing all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations.
  • Participating in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities.
  • Observing and learning from experienced staff members.
  • Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes.
  • Taking detailed notes and updating training logbook and liaising with Mentors & Project Co-ordinators, and other senior staff.
  • Following all company regulations, and health and safety codes.
  • Preparing documents and updating records.
  • Traveling to different offices and participating in daily operations as required.

Position Requirement & competencies:

Professional & Education Qualification:

  • Minimum educational requirement: Second level (appropriate per country).
  • Trade / craft qualified.
  • Third level - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or relevant.

Level and type of experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years manufacturing - an awareness of a clear level of understanding of what is required to work in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

  • Proven natural leadership ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication written and verbal skills.
  • Teamwork; ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Proven track record of working in a high output manufacturing facility.
  • Fundamental knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies.

Languages:

  • Must possess strong English speaking, writing and reading ability.
