We are looking for individuals who want to join our Team at RAF Croughton, UK.

Provide Airman & Family Readiness Center (AFRC) Family Services Consultant services in support of the Family Services and Sustainment Flight (422 ABS/FSA) at RAF Croughton, United Kingdom. Administrative professional needed to serve as a Family Services Consultant liaison between the 422 ABS/FSA and the RAF Mildenhall, UK Airman & Family Readiness Center and the RAF Croughton community. Personnel will communicate and promote all AFRC programs and core services to the RAF Croughton community.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Strong written and oral communication skills and be able to efficiently plan and organize, communicate, and manage diverse program requirements.
  • Language: Fluent English
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, to include using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) and ability to navigate websites, social media sites, and perform internet searches.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Administer and coordinate AFRC programs.
  • Coordinating and facilitating classes, seminars, and workshops, and coordinating/facilitating these with 100 FSS/FSSR when applicable. These services include but are not limited to: Key Spouse program, Camp Kudos annual event, Newcomers family support information, Air Force Aide, AFR library resource materials, Employment Assistance, Personal Financial Readiness Services, and Community Attic volunteer coordination.
  • Dissemination of information such as local services and resources offered by the AFRC to the RAF Croughton community.
  • Professional and courteous customer service. All services provided by the Family Services Consultant are covered under the Privacy Act and shall be considered confidential.
  • Serve as Ad Hoc member and attend Integrated Delivery System (IDS) meetings. Offer solutions based from the Family Services perspective during the meetings.
  • Maintain a record of all services provided to the community under the Family Services Program.
  • In coordination with the Relocation Core Compliance Expert staff, maintain Military Home Front's Plan My Move database relating to Family Services and keep it up to date.
  • Assist customers in completing paperwork for the Key Spouse program, Camp Kudos annual event, Newcomers family support information, Air Force Aide programs (Heart Link, Bundles for Babies, Give Parent's a Break, Car Care Program, PCS Care, volunteer Care), AFR library resource materials, Employment Assistance, Personal Financial Readiness Services, and Community Attic volunteer coordination.
  • Attend speaking events such as Commander's calls, Spouses' groups, etc. and post on the 422 ABS and Spouse's social media page to promote AFRC programs.
  • Maintain a reference library for volunteers and customers by periodically collecting and gathering information from books, magazines, and other related materials in the subject of Family Services.
  • Coordinate and route all budget requirements related to Family Services through the Sustainment and Family Service Flight Chief.
  • During times of crises or emergencies, perform a support role to the 422 ABS/FSA Emergency Family Assistance Center (EFAC) program. Support the EFAC during regular work to include work at the walk-in reception, call center covering phone lines and managing the appropriate checklists at the designated EFAC location.
  • Records Management. Responsible for maintaining records; training required for this program will be provided by the government.
  • Fire and Safety Manager. Responsible for maintaining the AFRC facility and providing records; the training required for this program will be provided by the government.
