If so, please get in touch now. We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a delightful Key Stage 1 student with ASD in our inclusive and supportive school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised 1:1 support to the pupil throughout the school day.
- Assist with their learning and development in line with their personalised education plan.
- Facilitate communication and engagement by using Romanian fluently when needed to support their understanding.
- Provide personal care as part of their daily routine, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
- Encourage their independence and confidence within the classroom and wider school environment.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to implement tailored strategies.
Requirements:
- Fluent Romanian speaker – essential to support the pupil's needs and promote effective communication.
- Experience working with children with ASD and an understanding of their unique challenges and strengths.
- A nurturing and patient approach, with a strong commitment to inclusion.
- Confidence in delivering personal care as part of the role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with the pupil, staff, and family.
