Search are seeking a technically strong Accountant with solid experience in both financial accounting and management accounting to join a well-established organisation in Liverpool on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working options. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can deliver accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis to support statutory requirements and internal business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage monthly and period-end financial reports
  • Analyse budget vs actual costs
  • Support forecasting and cash flow management
  • Inter-company reconciliations and maintain balance sheet
  • Oversee payroll accounting entries and related reconciliations
  • Support statutory compliance
  • Tax returns and financial statement preparation
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Respond efficiently to financial queries from stakeholders
  • Review and process supplier and expense payments
  • Contribute to finance projects

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification or working towards (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical expertise across financial and management accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills to interact confidently across the organisation
  • A proactive, organised and deadline-driven approach
