This is a demanding and exciting opportunity to join a busy ICT network support team at a managerial level. You will assist the ICT network manager in managing the network infrastructure across multiple sites in Southeast London. The team is responsible for delivering a reliable and resilient network supporting numerous users and devices, essential for critical clinical services. The infrastructure includes Cisco switches, routers, WLAN devices supporting over 40,000 endpoints and 12,000+ users, as well as Palo Alto firewalls and F5 systems for security.

Main duties:

  • Manage KCH Wireless LAN infrastructure
  • Manage network assurance systems
  • Oversee network projects across all King’s sites
  • Manage recruitment and appraisals for ICT network analysts
  • Serve as escalation point for network issues
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Assist in managing ICT network node rooms
  • Provide technical advice on network systems and policies
  • Resolve complex technical issues affecting data infrastructure
  • Maintain and develop the network infrastructure
  • Monitor the Trust’s Data Network
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers on technical matters
  • Monitor and troubleshoot firewalls
