In this role you will be part of the central People Team within the group in the Learning & Development specialist area. You will take part in delivering the Group L&D strategy to improve business performance through value-add activities.

Are you passionate about helping people to get off to a great start in their career? Or giving people educational opportunities within the business to help them to fulfil their potential? If so this could be the role for you. You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of apprenticeship and learning programmes. This includes organising learning providers and resources, in addition to delivering classroom training and presentations yourself. The accuracy of data is key to enable People metrics, insight and strong audit performance and you will play a key role in ensuring that data and records are well-managed.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Being the point of contact for the L&D community with onboarding and guidance on apprenticeships.
  • First point of contact for learning providers and monthly catch ups with the learning providers.
  • Administration of the government DAS system and reporting of data.
  • Coordinating engagement with schools/youth employment.
  • Promoting the Samworth Brothers apprenticeship programmes by playing a part in arranging celebration events, preparing award nominations, etc.
  • Delivering some of the development days for our Early Careers colleagues.

  • You will have a Level 3 L&D qualification (apprenticeship, CIPD or equivalent) or will be willing to undertake this.

  • You will have strong communication and organisational skills.
