Mint Selection are partnered with a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) that are delivering a portfolio of large-scale renewable energy projects across the UK. They are now seeking an experienced Grid Manager to lead the delivery and implementation of grid infrastructure across their solar and battery energy storage sites.
The Role
As Grid Manager, you’ll take ownership of the grid scope from pre-construction through to energisation, managing ICPs, overseeing grid works, and ensuring timely delivery of connection assets. You’ll work closely with the project, construction, and electrical engineering teams to ensure all grid-related elements are built to specification, on schedule, and in compliance with DNO or National Grid requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of grid connections for multiple live UK projects
- Liaise with ICPs, IDNOs, DNOs, NGESO, and EPCs to coordinate grid works
- Oversee implementation of HV/LV infrastructure up to the point of connection
- Review and sign off technical specs, designs, and commissioning plans
- Monitor programme milestones and mitigate risks/delays in grid delivery
- Ensure compliance with ENA standards, and UK grid codes
- Provide on-site and remote support during testing, witnessing, and energisation
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in grid infrastructure, electrical delivery, or HV construction
- 5+ years’ experience managing grid works for renewable energy or large infrastructure projects
- Familiar with UK DNO/NG processes, G99, and the end-to-end grid connection lifecycle
- Comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders including ICPs, IDNOs, and internal teams
- Proactive problem-solver with a sharp eye for safety, compliance, and quality
- Site-savvy and delivery-focused—able to track and drive performance on the ground
