A rapidly growing food manufacturing business is recruiting due to expansion. The successful applicant will be joining a small, committed, and hard-working team in a fun, relaxed and innovative working atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Collation of production paperwork (including outsourcing) and sign off to ensure checks on the recording/accuracy of paperwork have been carried out.
  • Includes cross check of warehouse sheet against raw material deliveries and G-codes on SAP.
  • Scanning paperwork onto the server.
  • Verification of water activity meter readings against paperwork and daily data entry.
  • Ensure water activity meters are kept in good working order.
  • Unlock finished products on SAP once paperwork signed off.
  • Investigation of unlocked finished goods.
  • Complete the receipt to warehouse spreadsheet daily.
  • Support with SAP investigation issues.
  • Maintaining retained samples for all batches including traded goods.
  • Generation of certificates of analysis where required by customers.
  • Obtain certificates of conformance for each batch of packaging and raw materials delivered.
  • Send off for testing where required.
  • Verify batch numbers on CofA/CofC match goods in record and are compliant against the signed specification on file.
  • Unlock on SAP once approved.
  • Check and document each batch of labels against approved artwork.
  • Unlock on SAP once approved.
  • Ensuring powder samples are taken and set up organoleptic and rancidity testing.
  • Generate production procedural issue summary (monthly).
  • Monitor non-conformances.
  • Ensure Non-conformance reports and investigations are completed for all issues raised in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and record issues with raw materials including packaging.
  • Non-conformance trending including GMP HACCP team member.
  • Contribute to site HACCP plans.
  • Arrange samples to be sent off for testing per testing schedule (including outsourcing).
  • Trend testing results.
  • Report out of specification values to TM and advise corrective actions.
  • Manage raw material Concessions.
  • Arrange equipment calibration.
  • Provide monthly summary of goods held under quarantine and reasons for being held.
  • Participate in food safety culture plan.
  • Support Technical Manager with complaint investigations.
  • Carrying out internal audits and hygiene inspections as scheduled by the Head of Technical.
  • Carry out mock traceability and mass balance tests for materials with assured status claim.
  • Assist Head of Technical with completion of supplier questionnaires.
  • Determine and implement quality improvements.
  • Support Head of Technical in implementation of third-party accreditation and customer own label standards.
  • Support Technical department during staff shortages such as holiday cover.
  • Any other reasonable duties that support the effective delivery of the role.

Pay: GBP25k
