Senior Procurement Manager (Hospital)

A leading construction firm is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager for a Hospital / Healthcare Project in Halifax with other locations also considered. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with construction procurement experience to work on major projects in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies, policies and processes
• Manage project procurement objectives and requirements
• Support tendering, market analysis and supplier selection
• Provide market intelligence, cost advice and supply chain performance management
• Lead a team of procurement professionals
• Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors

Essential Skills and Experience

• Negotiation skills
• Knowledge of legal and contracting law
• Risk and opportunity management
• Project procurement strategy development
• Supply chain planning
• Construction industry experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to deliver added value through procurement

Desirable Qualifications

• CIPS qualification or working towards it
• Chartership in CIOB or RICS
• Relevant on-the-job experience will also be considered
