WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE HATFIELD HERTS AL10 IMMEDIATE START – PICKING PACKING – FULL TIME POSITION – £26990 – 9.30 – 18.30/20.30 DEPENDING ON SHIFT. EXPERIENCED IN WAREHOUSE ADVANTAGEOUS.

Overall Job Purpose

Working within a team fulfilling all required tasks within the warehouse including, picking, checking, and packing/despatch of orders. Operating within the Health & Safety guidelines to ensure individual safety and the safety of others. Making sure all warehouse processes are completed safely in line with company procedures and expected standards of performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accurately pick, check and pack all goods to ensure customers receive the correct products.
  • Label and pack goods suitably to avoid damage during transit and identify the contents should they be of a hazardous nature.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time, to ensure the continuous flow of information.
  • Contribute to the operation to ensure all orders are complete and ready for despatch by the end of the shift, meeting customer delivery expectations.
  • Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times and undertake work in a safe manner in full compliance with company policy/procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Ensure warehouse health and safety and hygiene standards are maintained and at the highest level, to ensure any risks to workers, customers or visitors are kept to the lowest level.
  • Perform all tasks to a high level of accuracy and efficiency to ensure errors are kept to a minimum ensuring all agreed KPI’s are achieved.
  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that are commensurate with the role and within your capability, as and when required to ensure the warehouse/Goods-in continues to operate efficiently.
  • Follows established processes and procedures.
  • Works to clearly defined priorities and deadlines.
  • Performs routine activities in a structured environment.

Autonomy

  • No autonomy or decision making required.
  • Works within clearly defined processes and under direct supervision. Some basic decision making required to ensure the flow of work.
  • Requires assistance when dealing with unexpected or more complicated problems.
