The Company (Media IQ)
Media IQ works with many leading organisations across the media landscape (TV, Radio, Publishing, Digital etc) and has an enviable reputation for delivering the highest quality recruitment experience. Our office is based in St Albans although you will likely be in London a few times a week meeting clients. We have a friendly, collaborative and trusting working environment and all our staff have a good sense of humour (important in this business!).
We are now looking to take the business to the next level and as such need someone to be the driving force behind finding and securing new client briefs for our consultants to then resource for.
As a growing media recruitment agency we are always on the look-out for new talent to join us and help play a part in our continued expansion. This position in particular is for a Business Development Manager who will devise and execute a new business strategy with the sole aim of winning new clients and their briefs/vacancies for our experienced consultants to resource for. You would be targeting the digital media/publishing, west end agency and technology sectors primarily although we also cover broadcast, business intelligence, national press and similar.
You would in the first instance be engaging with the Sales Directors and MDs so must be comfortable doing that. Success breeds success and as the business grows you will be able to build a small team around you and play a bigger part in the growth strategy of the company. You will need to have a hunter mentality, but also a tactfulness to be able to explain the benefits of utilising our extensive experience and networks to help clients to secure new talent. You will also have the freedom to think creatively about new ways to work with clients.

- Experience of working in or recruiting for the media sector
- Interest in and passion for digital media
