The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The Operations Manager is aligned with one of our regional service centers and reports directly to the General Manager or Field Services Manager for the specific regional Service Center.

STRATEGIC anticipates that this role will include but is not limited to the following primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Effective and efficient coordination and scheduling of personnel and equipment resources.
  • Proactively managing and controlling field overtime.
  • Interaction with Project Managers and Account Managers to prioritise and schedule work.
  • Review daily and weekly paperwork for accuracy. Oversee the collection of time and attendance.
  • Maintain the daily schedule.
  • Participate in daily operations conference calls.
  • Forecasting and planning of workloads.
  • Interaction with and support of operations in STRATEGIC field offices throughout the northeast.
  • Continual recruitment of field personnel.
  • Mentoring and development of field personnel with a focus on foremen and supervisors.
  • Work toward maximising utilisation of company owned resources.
  • Overseeing warehouse and inventory.
  • Working with Corporate Compliance Officer to maintain a working supply of safety items.
  • Ensuring crews are prepared and trucks are loaded with needed equipment and supplies for jobs including ensuring field instructions are accurate and adhered to.
  • Any and all other duties and responsibilities that may be reasonably assigned in the business interests of STRATEGIC.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Project management, set-up and closeout.
  • Equipment maintenance and appearance.
  • Provide leadership relative to STRATEGIC’s Guiding Principles.
  • Field and administrative training of field crews.
  • Communication with Project Manager, Sales and General Managers regarding project challenges, opportunities, risks and unforeseen conditions.
  • Report areas in need of improvement.
  • Ensure excellent internal and external communications.
  • Manage sub-contractor and disposal to lowest level.
  • Timely billing.

Education and/or Relative Work Experience:

  • 5+ years related industry experience (field, transportation and disposal).
