Senior Data Analyst/Senior BI Analyst

Your insights will shape strategies, enhance player experiences, and support our business growth. This is a hands-on role in a small, agile BI team where we rely on each other to make things happen. You’ll balance managing essential reporting systems with driving exciting data exploration projects.

Gaming Realms creates, develops, and markets interactive online gaming applications, including Slingo, slots, and casino products. Our games are licensed to gambling sites worldwide, delivering engaging experiences to players globally. We’re a close-knit team based near Southwark station in London, operating with creativity, agility, and collaboration. About the Role

• Support and maintain existing data streams using MySQL and Python, and create new data sources as required.
• Assist in the transition to Redshift, improving data accessibility and efficiency.
• Build and improve dashboards to track performance metrics and player behaviour using Tableau.
• Design visualisations that make complex data clear and accessible, enabling teams to draw insights and take informed actions.
• Explore player behaviour and game mechanics to identify trends and patterns.
• Provide clear, actionable insights to help teams enhance the game experience and optimise performance.
• Present findings and recommendations to the teams you are working with.
• Examples of potential projects include: evaluating game launches across regions, identifying player engagement patterns, investigating player retention, and analysing differences in the markets.

The Team

You’ll join a small but motivated BI team, working closely with the Head of BI to deliver value across the organisation. The team thrives on brainstorming, collaboration, and problem-solving, where everyone contributes their unique strengths to achieve shared goals. You have a strong interest in data and are comfortable presenting data in a clear, simple, and easy-to-understand way, turning complex information into actionable insights.

You’re a problem solver who takes initiative and works well in ambiguous situations. You’re eager to address complex problems and contribute to projects of all sizes, including the smaller tasks that ensure everything runs smoothly.

You thrive on variety, enjoy juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, and approach problems with curiosity and a drive to find creative solutions. Your strong organisational skills and attention to detail help you stay on top of shifting priorities.

Skills & Experience

• Experience of working in the Gambling industry
• Experience working on data projects, from data extraction to visualisation and presentation. If you’ve managed projects end-to-end or contributed to parts of the process, we’d love to hear from you.
• Ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimise complex queries, transform data, and ensure accuracy.
• Expertise in Tableau or similar data visualisation tools.
• Strong Excel skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with Python or other coding languages.
