The predicted salary is between 25000 - 36000 £ per year.

We are looking for a Security Guard based at our Pembridge site in Herefordshire, working 39 hours per week. You will be patrolling, responding to incidents and monitoring surveillance equipment. As one of our Security Guards, you will focus on all routine and non-routine activities to ensure the safety and security of property, assets and people.

You will receive a competitive salary of £32,452 per annum inclusive of 26% shift allowance for days/afternoons, or 35% for nights.

Working Pattern: 12-hours on a continental shift pattern (including weekends)

Main Responsibilities Of Our Security Guard:

  • Conducting routine, internal, external and high-risk area patrols using patrol monitoring equipment to ensure property and assets are secure.
  • Secure premises by access & egress control including building, room and gate security, lock up & unlocking to suit business needs.
  • Ensure that activities are planned and designed to support the organisation's strategic vision and mission.
  • Dealing with occurrences including responding to fire, first aid, spill emergencies, trespassers, adverse weather, etc.
  • Managing and monitoring of site visitors including statutory agencies and contractors.
  • Conducting searches of people, vehicles and property when required.
  • CCTV monitoring and surveillance of site internal and external activities.
  • Setting & monitoring intruder, access control and emergency alarms.
  • Manage own security certification & training renewals.
  • Respond accordingly to intruder, access control and emergency alarms activations.
  • Offer suggestions to changes in working methods / equipment used by the security team.
  • Communication and diligent record of legal and illegal activities including emergency reports, daily occurrence reports, alarm activations.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Culvert monitoring and response in the event of an alarm or potential flood response.
  • Maintaining vehicular access and pedestrian safety in the event of adverse weather.
  • Meter readings to monitor usage and deliveries.
  • Daily emission monitoring to fulfil the requirements of PPC Part B permitted activities.
  • Security vehicle maintenance and preparedness.
  • Monitoring offloads including diesel and LPG.
  • Assisting in the management of hire car delivery and returns to site.
  • Managing courier deliveries and consumables store.
  • Building and other security key control and management.
  • Managing distribution of canteen vending, newspapers and milk for the purpose of employee wellbeing.

You Will Have:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Be a good team player with a “Can do attitude”.
  • SIA licence.
  • Punctual.
  • Flexible as overtime cover will be needed.
  • Be able to conduct patrols of the perimeter.
  • Ability to work alone (following training period).

Whilst Not Essential, The Following Would Be Of Benefit:

  • Previous experience working in a security position.
  • Ability to follow instruction and production schedules.
  • Experience of working with various IT programs i.e. MS Word, Excel.
  • Security camera training.
