The IoT Network Design Specialist is a dual position reporting to the VP of Customer Operations. This role has direct influence and works intimately with other cross-functional departments. The successful candidate is responsible for the design of Bluetooth networks as well as assisting with the management of customer success duties as needed. This role will work closely with the Sales and Implementation team on ensuring designs are in line with ROAR’s product specs and meeting customer requirements. Additionally, this role will assist with the outreach to customers post product implementation ensuring customer interaction with product meets customer needs.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Prepares and gives technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work at their properties.
  • Work with the Customer to ensure on-site equipment and layouts meet ROAR's system requirements.
  • Communicate with the Sales team to understand consumer requirements and offer sales support where necessary.
  • Works with product to find sales solutions to unique site needs and assists product as needed.
  • Travel as necessary to customer sites for surveys or other related business.
  • Establish Customer Rapport and Acceptance on network designs.
  • Problem solve and generate solutions to meet unique customer requirements, including custom solutions for one-off situations.
  • Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective.
  • Establishes and maintains metrics to measure progress towards department goals.
  • Analyzes and reports on departmental goals, including time spent estimating per property, customer engagement, and other productivity metrics.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to solve problems and or come up with complex solutions to meet product specifications.

  • Heightened sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in technology, business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years’ experience with solutions design, estimating or field services role.
  • 2-4 years’ experience working with wireless technology.
  • Previous experience with IoT applications is an asset.
  • Ability to travel within the US 20% of time.
