About the role

Our Ramp Operations Team play a crucial part in supporting the airport to thrive and operate seamlessly, they are responsible for the processing of passenger baggage and aircraft turnaround. I will be responsible for all aircraft turnaround processes, including, aircraft arrival, onloading and offloading baggage, and aircraft departure.

• I will be responsible for accurately and efficiently sorting outbound passenger baggage.
• I will be responsible for operating ground service equipment.
• I will be responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance and cleaning works to the equipment and operational area.
• I will work with my team and my colleagues from other departments to meet our goal of providing our passengers with a positive journey through our airport.
• I will be working outside in all weather conditions.
• I will fully embody the Airports ‘One Team’ culture and understand that there may be times when I am required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.
• I understand that the Airport is in operation 24/7 so I may be scheduled and expected to work any shift during operating hours, this will include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Full UK Driving Licence
• A strong written and verbal communicator.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience operating a GSE is not essential but would be advantageous.
