Are you passionate about packaging innovation and product development? We are looking for a Packaging Technologist to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting a diverse portfolio of own-brand and private label products from concept through to launch. In this role, you will lead packaging development for mid- to high-complexity projects, ensuring that solutions are robust, cost-effective, and delivered on time. Working closely with suppliers, production teams, and NPD (New Product Development), you will be instrumental in turning creative ideas into successful, shelf-ready products across a range of materials including plastics and glass.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver innovative packaging solutions for new product development (NPD) within a manufacturing setting.
- Manage supplier relationships, briefing on components, tooling, artwork, and testing requirements.
- Coordinate colour matching, cutter guides, and specification approvals.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation (e.g., NLFs, pallet plans, and specifications).
- Attend production trials and first production runs to validate packaging performance.
- Monitor and communicate project status, risks, and priorities effectively.
- Support junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
