We’re working with several secure establishments across Greater Manchester that urgently require experienced HCAs to support their primary care and mental health teams on an ongoing basis. About the Role:
As a Prison-Cleared HCA, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the wellbeing of inmates, working alongside nurses, mental health professionals, and wider prison staff. Duties will vary but may include:
- Assisting with health checks, wound care, and medication rounds (if trained)
- Supporting patients with physical or mental health needs
- Accurate record-keeping and reporting concerns
- Contributing to a safe and respectful care environment
You’ll Need To Have:
- Current prison clearance (CTC, Enhanced Vetting or similar) – essential
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience working as an HCA in the UK
- Ability to adapt quickly and work well under pressure
- PMVA/MAPA training is a bonus – training can be provided if needed
- A genuine passion for patient care in secure settings
