This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Renewable Energy sector. Our client is looking for a Project Engineer with an environmental background to support the DCO stage of the project.
Role & Responsibilities
- Working Client-side role, responsible for managing the delivery of packages of work by the FEED contractor.
- Will be responsible for supporting the DCO (Development Consent Order) part of the project.
- Management of Environmental consultants to develop Environmental documentation.
- Maintained oversight of agreements, criteria, and conditions outlined in the DCO, and collaborated with stakeholders, individual packages, and the Consent team to ensure technical compliance.
- Support the Land Strategy Team in the Land Acquisition process.
- Ensure environmental compliance as part of the application process.
- Responsible for technical review of gaps in scope of work delivered by the FEED contractor.
- Maintain and update the risk register, DCO consent register and other required trackers.
- Review progress and cost reports from DCO consultants.
- Maintain and further develop relationships with key stakeholders on projects.
- Ensure that issues relating to HSE are effectively managed, in line with the clientsβ policies and procedures.
- Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with clients and internal team.
- Checking of project deliverables including drawings, schedules, datasheets, specifications.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Must be degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline, chartered status desired but not essential.
- Process Engineering background preferable but not essential.
- Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries.
- Experience in other major energy such as Energy from Waste or similar will also be highly advantageous.
- Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
