OpticoreIT is a specialist IT services consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments across our client base varying from Large Enterprises to FTSE 100 spanning across multiple verticals including Finance, Media, Telecommunications, and much more.
We are currently seeking a Graduate Network Operations Engineer, to join our Network Practice; within one of our Financial Services clients. This is a hybrid position but you will be required to attend the office 3/4 days a week, based in the Central London.
What you’ll be doing:
- Monitoring the health of the network and security infrastructure using monitoring and analysis tools
- Reacting to alerts and providing resolution or initial troubleshooting
- Investigate hardware/software problems and work with the manufacturers\’ support teams to resolve
- Reporting and troubleshooting network connectivity to third parties
- Reporting and troubleshooting WAN connectivity outages and issues with our partners
- Completing Level 1 support tickets
- Completing network audits to ensure compliance to standards
What you need:
- Studying for or holder of CCNA/Network+ qualifications or completed a university degree in a relevant subject
- Highly organised and motivated
- Knowledge of basic switching and routing concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Passion and enthusiasm to help the team in continuing to meet the expected high standards of performance.
