Streamline Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic client based in Tilbury who specialise in the Logistics sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Container Planner to join their team. As the Container Planner your main role will be to plan and coordinate container movements, managing delivery schedules, and working closely with drivers, depots, and customers to ensure everything runs smoothly. Key duties will include:

  • Develop and implement transportation plans for inbound and outbound container movements.
  • Manage container schedules to avoid delays and demurrage charges.
  • Liaise with suppliers, depots, and drivers to ensure the smooth flow of container movements.
  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery updates or any arising issues.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with all stakeholders.
  • Manage purchase order data within systems to monitor delivery progress.
  • Analyse container movement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee daily driver operations and maintain positive working relationships.
