We are looking to appoint an outstanding, self-motivated and committed PE Teacher to work within a specialist school within the Enfield area. This is an amazing opportunity for a suitable candidate to develop their career by joining a talented, hardworking, and friendly team involved in developing first class provision for pupils aged between 4-19 with various needs and abilities. You will be supported by a wider team of professionals to ensure our pupils thrive, have fun and maximise their potential.

What We Are Looking For

  • An experienced and energetic practitioner with the knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of teaching, learning, assessment, and positive behaviour management strategies to make a positive impact on the progress of pupils with complex needs.
  • Highly motivated, innovative person with enthusiasm and commitment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised overseas teaching certificate.
  • Experience working with students with SEND within a mainstream or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting is desirable, however ECTs are welcomed to apply.
  • Experience teaching PE.
  • Flexible and hard-working nature.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Existing DBS check on the update service.
  • Experience of augmentative and alternative communication (PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method) are beneficial, but not essential.
