The Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Regis College seeks an Adjunct Lecturer for the Spring semester specializing in Cybersecurity to teach CYS 110, Introduction to Cybersecurity/Lab. This course introduces students to the interdisciplinary field of cybersecurity. It covers the development of information security into cybersecurity, cybersecurity theories and its applications to nations and society. Other topics covered include multiple cybersecurity technologies, processes, procedures, threat analysis, risk assessments, and strategy development. Classes begin Jan. 2025. This course will be taught in person on the Weston, MA campus and asynchronously online. The in-person portion is currently scheduled on Tuesdays 8:00 am-9:15 am.

Essential Functions

  • Teach CYS110 in hybrid format, with a synchronous, in-person lecture portion and with an asynchronous online portion.
  • Engage with all responsibilities associated with teaching the section: direct oversight of student work, grading, office hours, overall student classroom and academic assessment.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement: An earned MS in Cybersecurity or similar; PhDs welcome.
  • Demonstrated evidence of at least three years prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other STEM faculty in terms of curriculum and assessment.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with academic assessment.
  • Familiarity with the learning management system Moodle is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to uphold the university's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
